Too many candidates according to Desras, also a candidate...
Dieuseul Simon Desras, former president of the National Assembly, who is convinced that the Government Martelly/Paul can not organize good elections in the country, deplores the high number of presidential candidates (70) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13944-haiti-elections-provisional-list-of-all-presidential-candidates.html "Although I am a big candidate, I am forced to accept to rub shoulders with all the little candidates [...]" speaking of the avidity that leads these smaller candidates to run.

"If there was a country project and not personal, all presidential candidates should sit to clear a representative among them in the elections. Everyone sees and dreams of becoming president. By this behavior, the Presidency is exposed to the trivialization.."

Appointment of members of the polling stations
The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) inform the general population, political parties, political groups and candidates, in particular that, "in accordance with Articles 138 and following of the Electoral Decree, members of polling stations (MBV) are selected by political parties from a list of registered electors submitted by universities, schools, religions, socio-professional and cultural associations and recognized women's organizations, at least 60 days before the election. The institutions, heretofore mentioned, can always appear at the headquarters of the electoral institution to inquire about the process.

Moreover, it is planned a meeting with such organizations and representatives of political parties to deal in particular with the terms of the choice of MBV and mode of organization of polling stations on the election day. The date of this meeting will be announced later."

A conspiracy against the country, according to former Senator Wesner Emmanuel
Former Senator of 45th and 46th legislatures Wesner Emmanuel expresses its concerns over the number of presidential candidates, wondering if it is not about a conspiracy against the country. He advised the CEP to remove from the electoral race all former accounting of public funds that have not been relieved of their management.
