Haiti - Education : 5 Fulbright scholars will pursue their studies in the US

The Public Affairs Office of the American Embassy would like to wish farewell to the 5 selected Fulbright candidates for the year of 2015-2015 as they depart Haiti to complete their master degree at a university in the United States https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13355-haiti-notice-registration-for-the-fulbright-scholarship.html

The Fulbright Program is the keystone exchange program of the U.S. Government and reflects U.S. commitment to educational excellence and cultural exchange. This group of Haitian scholars participated in a rigorous selection process in order to be chosen from more than 200 applicants this year.

The five scholars are the best and the brightest academic stars of 2015. We congratulate them for their dedication, commitment and hard-work during this arduous process.

The Embassy wish them success and bon voyage as they get ready to experience this life changing experience.

  • Ms. Christina Julme :

    Field of Study: Masters in Broadcast Journalism

    University: Arkansas Tech University

    Ms. Julme has earned a bachelor degree (License) in applied linguistics at the Faculty of Applied Linguistics of the State University of Haiti.

  • Mr. Patrick Altéus

    Field of Study: Masters in Environmental Management

    University: Louisiana State University

    Mr. Altéus has earned a bachelor degree in Natural Resources and Environment at the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinarian Medicine of the State University of Haiti.

  • Ms. Nerline Jacques :

    Field of Study: Masters in Public Health/Biostatistics

    University: Georgia State University

    Ms. Jacques has earned a bachelor degree in applied statistics and Economics from the Center of Planning Techniques and Applied Economics of the State University of Haiti.

  • Dr. Théodule Jean Baptiste :

    Field of Study: Masters in Public Health/ Infectious Diseases

    University: University of Alabama

    Dr. Jean Baptiste has earned a bachelor degree in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the State University of Haiti.

  • Ms. Natalie Desrosiers :

    Field of Study: Masters in Construction Management

    University: Louisiana State University

    Ms. Desrosiers has earned a bachelor degree in Architecture from the IbernoAmericana (UNIBE) University in Santo Domingo, DR.
