Haiti - Education : Signing of an agreement with partners of the Education Advantage Card
Thursday, as part of the Education Advantage Card the Ministry of National Education formally signed a memorandum of understanding with several companies, which were committed to offering preferential rates and other incentives to teaching and administrative staff.

Launched in January 2015, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12917-haiti-education-official-launch-of-the-teacher-card-advantage.html the Education Advantage Card heretofore Teacher Advantage Card provides access to goods and services provided by public and private companies, local and international independent organizations operating in the country, at preferential prices.

Thus, the National Bank of Credit (incentives and discounts on the cost of services), Maison Henri Deschamps (20% discount on books and school materials), the Comp-Haiti (10% discount on its products outside promotion) and Valério-Canez (15% on its products excluding promotion) join the NATCOM which was the first partner to embark by offering a free SIM card with a monthly credit of 250 gourdes for calls and Internet use (already over 70,000 beneficiaries).

The Minister Nesmy Manigat welcomed the interest of these companies in this initiative of the Ministry which is part of the accompanying perspective of teachers to improve their living conditions, saying that other companies operating in the regions must join the CAE, in order to facilitate access to these privileges to teachers in the departments.

Recall that the CAE is granted to any holder of a license to teach (PE) and administrative staff of accredited schools.

Moreover, Marc Rudolph Saint-Albin, the Director General of the Insurance Agency for Occupational Accidents, Illness, and Maternity (OFATMA) introduced the Insurance Card. He explained that this card will help facilitate access to health care of the insured "without this preliminary paperwork constant," which constituted a factor blocking or delaying care "Approximately 5,000 cards are ready for distribution and the others will follow," said Saint-Albin.
