Haiti - Boxing : «Superman» knocked out Karpency at the 3rd round
Friday at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto, the Boxer Quebecers of Haitian origin, Adonis Stevenson aka "Superman" (27-1, 22 KOs) kept his promise by knocking at the 3rd round Tommy Karpency (25-5-1, 14 KOs), conserving his WBC heavyweight title for the sixth time.

After a difficult start to the second round, where Karpency had hit solidly, Stevenson has completed the recovery with powerful with a nice con-attack that shook the American. Stevenson could very well be declared the winner at the end of the second round, but Karpency managed to get up after being sent to the floor by a powerful left while it remained practically no time to the commitment.

After the break, Stevenson came out like a bull out of his corner and sent Karpency on floor.

"I was more patient and I more used my right [...] I worked hard before my final assault. I am very happy with the result," Stevenson said after the combat.

The Promoter of Stevenson, Yvon Michel said the Cuban Yunieski Gonzalez could be a potential opponent for the next combat of his protégé to be held at the Bell Centre on 11 December.
