13,725 mandates will be distributed...

Political parties with presidential candidates, will receive 13,725 representatives mandates equivalent to the number of polling stations planned for 25 October 2015. Given that no polling station can not accommodate both the 54 representatives of political parties, members of polling stations, supervisors, national and international observers along the voters, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) plans to carry out, on the morning of October 25 before the opening of offices a draw from 6 am between accredited persons. The representatives will enter in the centers and polling stations in groups of ten every 2 hours to monitor the voting.

Friday, in the context of elections on 25 October and 27 December 2015, the CEP, will meet with representatives of parties, political groupings and those of electoral observation organizations. The meeting will be held at the Hotel Oasis in Petion-ville, at 10:00 am. On the Agenda: The measures relating to the management of representatives and observers in the centers and polling stations.

290 million gourdes available for Political Parties

Fritz Jean-Louis, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for electoral matters, announced the availability of funding (290 million gourdes) for political party financing as soon as their responsible would have completed the necessary formalities, subsidy application and submission of a report on the management of public funds, that they received in the first round of legislative elections. Each presidential candidate will receive about 2 million gourdes.
