Considerable strengthening of the security

"Assessments of the situation on the ground were conducted in all ten departments, the mapping of the risk assessment has been updated and the integrated security plan, a joint plan developed and implemented by the National Police of Haiti (PNH) and MINUSTAH has been revised, with considerable reinforcements provided even before the day of election and after October 25," indicated Sandra Honoré, special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Haiti, at a press conference Thursday.

The National Identification Office (ONI) reminds all citizens of Haiti that its offices will remain open from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm every weekday and until 3:00 in the afternoon Saturday 17 and October 24, 2015 as well as Sunday, October 18.
