Haiti - Politic : The «Core Group» demand to respect the February 7
The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and members of the international community in Haiti, represented on the "Core Group" (the Ambassadors of Brazil, Canada, France, Spain, the United States America, the European Union and the Special Representative of the Organization of American States), took note of the report dated January 2, submitted by the Independent Electoral Commission of evaluation (CEEI), and its recommendations https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-16231-haiti-elections-the-recommendations-of-the-commission-of-electoral-evaluation.html , for the electoral cycle be concluded in a inclusive, equitable and transparent way, in respect of the constitutional calendar.

The "Core Group", recognizing efforts aimed at strengthen the credibility and transparency of the electoral process and to ensure the rules of fair play, urges all state institutions and political actors to take all necessary measures to ensure a peaceful transfer of power to a newly elected President on February 7, as prescribed in the Constitution.

However, according to the CEP it would be very difficult if not impossible to carry out the second round of presidential elections, the partial legislative and local elections January 17, 2016 and there is evidence of not having a President elected on February 7 2016. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-16239-haiti-flash-very-difficult-if-not-impossible-to-achieve-the-2nd-round.html
