Haiti - Elections : The Great Maneuvering of INITE is set up
In Nippes (Southwest), in Miragoane, barricades of burning tires were installed Monday morning by demonstrators in several neighborhoods of the city to protest against the choice of members for the local polling station. A disposition that favors the party INITE.

Ginette Cherubin (an electoral Councillor) revealed the existence of parallel lists to lists authentic. She said it's a conspiracy, and that these lists are causing demonstrations in several parts of the country.

At Grand Goave, a warrant was issued against Frank Laporte, assistant mayor and parliamentary candidate for the party "Ansanm nou fò", accused with four of his colleagues of criminal conspiracy following a conflict that pitted him against Jude Celestin. The assistant mayor had suffered violence and taken to the police where he was released, shortly afterwards, by an angry mob.

At Desdunes in the Artibonite, shots were heard during a protest of a set of political parties. Candidates for deputies took to the streets Sunday to denounce the replacement of members of municipal electoral offices by supporters of INITE.

Other offices of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) have been attacked in several regions of the country.

In Cabaret, a polling station was burned Sunday.

Several political parties have denounced acts of intimidation during rallies in the provinces as well as armed threat.

The police station in Grand Goâve (50 km southwest of Port-au-Prince) was sacked in response to the arrest of four INITE supporters who faced those of platform "Ansanm Nou Fò". Following these violent incidents, supporters of INITE have regained their freedom.

In Jérémie, it is a candidate for the Senate of the platform INITE who accusing Laurette Croyance, electoral Councillor, of orchestrating maneuvers to place only supervisors from platforms Alternative and Solidarité in the different BEC of the department.
