In office since November 2015 Magalie Jeanty Magloire, Ambassador of Haiti to the Dominican Republic was recalled to Port-au-Prince after only 4 months, one month less than the term of his predecessor Daniel Supplice. According to our sources a new ambassador is about to be appointed to replace her. Among the names circulating, that of Idalbert Jean, a former Ambassador of Haiti in Spain, seems most likely. The demonstration was less peaceful than usual, some violent action have been reported as well as the erection of barricades of burning tires.
