Wednesday in press conference, officials from the Ministry of National Education revealed that 413,754 candidates were expected to undergo official State examinations [205,892 candidates for the 9th Year Fundamental ; 203,175 for Philo ; 2,900 for new secondary and 1,787 for the Écoles normales d’instituteurs (ENI)]

Exam calendar :

June 13 to 15 candidates for the 9th A.F,;

June 13 to 16 for ENI

June 27 to 30 for the Bac (Philo).

Recall that according to the 12 measures defined by the former Minister of Education National Nesmy Manigat, for the overhaul of the education system https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11781-haiti-education-exam-results-disappointing-the-minister-manigat-announced-a-package-of-measures.html it remains only two levels of exams : 9th A.F and Philo, the 6th A.F and Rétho are no longer part of official examinations.

Furthermore Renan Michel, Director of the National Bureau of state examinations (BUNEXE), said that 13.486 candidates have irregular records because of complicity, negligence or error of some Principals and are not allowed this time to participate in official competitions.

These candidates fall into 3 categories :

Those who have not successfully completed the tests of the 9th fundamental year;

Those who have left no trace that they were admitted to second-class or first part (Rhéto)

Those who have applied in two different departments.

The BUNEXE grants students in this situation, a respite until May 13, 2016 for their cases to be regularized. After this date, candidates who have not managed to regulate or correct their records will be permanently excluded from this year's state examinations.
