Haiti - FLASH : A police officer killed at Champ de Mars
Friday, the police officer Loubens Desrameaux, who was not on duty and not in uniform, was shot several times as he took a refresh bought to a merchant near the Place Dessalines at Champ de Mars by unknown unidentified aboard motorcycles, witnesses said.

Loubens Desrameaux (33) native of Sèka Kavajal (Centre Department, near the Dominican border) was graduated from the 22nd promotion and worked in the Motorised Brigade of Intervention (BIM), he was in civilian clothes at the time of his assassination.

The police quickly went to the scene to take clues and evidence.

That same Friday, in a separate incident, a man was shot dead in his car on the street Geffrard in Pétion-ville.

These two new murders came as the PNH had announced this week a drop in crime in the metropolitan area https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17565-haiti-security-good-news-of-the-pnh.html
