Haiti - Security : The CSPJ deeply concerned, wrote to PM 13/06/2016 11:08:33
Jules Cantave, the President of the Superior Council of Judicial Power (CSPJ), wrote to Prime Minister Enex Jean-Charles, to express him his concerns of the Judiciary on the security of court. "The Judicial Power represented by the Superior Council of Judicial Power (CSPJ) [...] expresses you its concerns following the aggression and threat suffered, Monday, June 6 passed by the Judges in the performance of their duties and the acts of vandalism perpetrated against the Palace of Justice of Port-au-Prince. This unspeakable acts were committed in violation of the law not only on the staff of justice, but also on the building housing the said Palace of Justice and the Bar. In your capacity as Head of Government and as President of the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN), the CSPJ believes appropriate to remind you [...] that you have for mission, among others, the protection of lives and goods.
