Pro-Privert take the street

Monday, supporters and sympathizers of President a.i. Jocelerme Privert demonstrated in Port-au-Prince to demand the extension of the mandate of the Head of State. Former Sen. Lavalas Louis Gérald Gilles, that manifested ruled "against a transition in the transition." For him the transition should be made with Privert whose administration must organize good elections.

Throughout the march, protesters advocated the need to preserve stability, essential for achieving good elections. Another demonstration of support is planned Tuesday as the National Assembly has to decide on the polongation or not of the mandate of the Provisional Head of State.

The Democratic Entente warns the DG a.i of the PNH

The Democratic Entente has written to the Director General a.i. of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), for drawing his "ttention to the fact that the mandate of the temporary President of the Republic, Jocelerme Privert ending June 14, 2016 [...]" reminding "the legal obligation made to him to not obey any order from a person devoid of legality and legitimacy; that any execution of order manifestly unlawful, commits only one that execute it."

Withdrawal of weapon carry permit unconstitutional

NOTICE : Soon the withdrawal of CIN to the Consulate General of Haiti in Higuey (DR)

Jean Alexis Tholbert, the counselor-minister of the Consulate General of Haiti in Higuey, met with the Technical Director of the National Identification Office (ONI). He announced that "soon" Haitians living in the Eastern Region of the Dominican Republic, will be able to withdraw their National Identification Card (CIN) to the Consulate General of Haiti in Higuey.
