Haiti - Football : 3 young people selected at Kick Start 2016, in internship at the Digicel Academy

Last Sunday, Fritz Paul (14), Leedger Lajeunesse (15) and Mackendy Richeme (16), selected during intensive training sessions of the Kick Start Clinics have left the country last weekend to participate in the Digicel Academy.

These three young footballers had distinguished themselves from the 27 other participants https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17089-haiti-football-names-of-three-young-people-selected-at-digicel-kick-start-2016.html by their impressive performance during intensive training sessions of Kick Start Clinics, under the direction of three coaches of Manchester City FC and have seen materialize the dream of their life by winning the trip to the Digicel Academy.

Recall that from March 29 to May 14, the Manchester City FC coaches have visited 14 different countries in the Caribbean region https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-17058-icihaiti-football-haiti-beneficiary-of-the-digicel-kick-start-2016.html to lead training sessions of Digicel Kickstart and had selected the three best players in each country to go to the Academy which will now test these players to see what they have learned during the Clinics and improve various aspects of their game. They are all competing for opportunity of a lifetime to be among the 8 selected to go to train at the City Football Academy, the best center for training and development of young of Manchester City.

Alan Dixon, Head Coach of the Digicel Kickstart Academy and Project Manager of Football City Schools, declared "Digicel shares the passion of Manchester City for the development of football talent, which constitutes the very essence of the Digicel Kickstart program. Therefore, we are pleased that we can contribute to the overall success of the program, by providing young aspiring players of the region with opportunities to improve their games.
