"[...] The Head of State is also at the listening of the different reactions of civil society, particularly the transport unions.

Therefore, in agreement with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy and Finance, he decided to relaunch consultation with the relevant sectors in order to achieve, as soon as possible, to better cooperation on the level of subsidies that the State can continue granting to ensure an acceptable maintaining the prices of petroleum products without affecting, drastically, its ability to meet its obligations to the people.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Economy and Finance agreed to release, Wednesday, August 24, 2016, a notice of the temporary suspension of its last note regarding the new tariffs of petroleum products.

The President of the Republic in this difficult situation, appealed to the solidarity of all strata of society to maintain a climate conducive to the holding of elections, the main issue of the Nation and real solution to face the future challenges."
