Haiti - Elections : «There was cheating» dixit Jude Célestin
Following the publication of the preliminary results of the presidential election giving a large victory in the first round to Jovenel Moïse candidate under the banner of PHTK (55.67% of the votes) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-19370-haiti-flash-preliminary-results-1st-round-elections-20-november-2016.html , Jude Célestin, candidate for the presidential election under the banner of the "Alternative League for the Progress and the Haitian Emancipation" (LAPEH), arrived 2nd with 208.837 votes (19.52% of the votes), declared "We say that there was cheating and we will see who cheated," explaining "there were no manifestations of joy in Haiti : a candidate who wins with more than 55%, there should be spontaneous manifestations of people going out on the streets because they are happy." According to him "This is proof that people do not agree with these results, which are not the reflection of the popular vote."
