On Monday, Jean Marie Altéma, Director General of the National Telecommunications Council (CONATEL), accompanied by André Lubin, Deputy Director of Broadcasting at CONATEL, made a follow-up visit to the National Television of Haiti (TNH) as part of the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) experimental project.

Altéma met with Dischler Marcelin, the Director General of the RTNH, and Yvon Auguste, Technical Director of TNH, on the work progress and of broadcast site.

It should be noted that CONATEL and TNH initialed, on 13 October 2016, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-18963-haiti-technology-soon-a-digital-tv-pilot-channel.html a Memorandum of Understanding for a Digital Terrestrial Television pilot project in Port-au-Prince and in the metropolitan area, which was originally scheduled to start on 15 November at the latest... At the rate at which preparations are under way , this experimental channel should be launched during the month of December in the interest of the general public in general.

Note that DTT will gradually replace over the next few years with analog television and will offer a multiplicity of TV programs in digital quality.
