Haiti - Politics : Promises of President Moïse to the HUEH
Saturday, President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Wilson Laleau and some parliamentarians, visited the dialysis center of the Hospital of the State University of Haiti (HUEH) where he met among others with the small staff on strike since December 2016 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-19531-haiti-health-new-strike-in-public-hospitals.html
The visit was an opportunity for the Head of State to announce the release of emergency funds for the resumption of the regular operation of the dialysis center. President Moïse also undertook to refurbish the power system and replace the existing generator with another one of greater capacity and thus to rehabilitate the water filtering system of the building.
On the other hand, in the framework of one of the major axes of its program, which aims to ensure the health care he promised to establish without delay a Tripartite Commission composed of Representatives of the two Houses of Parliament, the Ministry of Public Health and the Office of the Presidency with the aim of proposing a global plan to solve the problems of the Haitian hospital system.
