Haiti - Japan : Donation of $18 million for the construction of schools
Tuesday, Japan's Ambassador to Haiti Yoshiaki Hatta and Haitian Chancellor Antonio Rodrigue signed a grant agreement of Government of Japan amounting to $18.2 million through the Japan International Cooperation Agency.

This donation will allow to finance, among other things, the construction of 99 classrooms, all equipped, and 108 toilets in 13 schools located in these two departments, said Yoshiaki Hatta adding that the project also included the construction of sanitary blocks suitable for wheelchairs and access ramps in its facilities for persons with reduced mobility as well as installations of systems for the production of solar energy.
