Haiti - Education : The new University will be completed the January 12, 2012 13/01/2011 17:15:13
Less than 5 months later, President Leonel Fernández yesterday unveiled to the press, in the Hall of Ambassadors in the National Palace, the model of the new university campus. Dominican President announced that the University will be completed and delivered the 12 January 2012. A project of $30 million, fully financed by the Dominican Republic and Dominican business sector to be conducted under the coordination of the architect Milka Garrett. President Fernández said that the campus will be built in the north of Haiti, near Cap-Haitien, will accommodate 10,000 students per day. It will consist of several three-story buildings, 72 classrooms of 30 students, library [documentation center very modern], meeting rooms, computer , accountants and scientists labs, academic facilities, administrative and recreational.  He recalled that this new campus will be part of the network of state universities of Haiti and the project was currently in the tendering process to select construction companies.
