Towards a clash with factory workers

Martelly receives a Leadership Award

Later in the day Martelly received a Leadership Award "I thank Crans Montana Forum for having awarded me this prestigious award for my leadership and dedication to Haiti. I receive it with humility," Martelly said, adding that it was a distinction for his commitment to the integration of young people into socio-economic life and the promotion of women's entrepreneurship in Haiti.

Canada finances the agricultural sector
Saturday, Canadian Ambassador André Frenette traveled south with President Moïse to take concrete action in the agricultural sector in Haiti "Canada is proud to fund Haitian initiatives in the agri-food sector [...] In consultation with the Government of Haiti on the definition of projects, the planned actions will allow to build capacity and create jobs in the agricultural sector, processing and marketing of food products," said the Canadian Ambassador.

Constitutional amendment and gender equality
On Friday in Parliament, in the presence of the Deputy Jerry Tardieu, President of the Special Committee on the amendment of the Constitution of the Chamber of Deputies, 26 women's organizations presented to the members of the Commission their proposals for taking into account gender equality in the draft Constitutional amendment.

Exhibition "Wole Soyinka : Antiquities, Across, Times and Place"
On Friday, March 16, 2018, the Director General of the National Library of Haiti, Mrs. Franceline Cadet Robas visited to the ethnographic museum of the National Bureau of Ethnology, the exhibition "Wole Soyinka: Antiquities, Across, Times and Place" which puts highlight the similarities between Haitian and African culture especially that of Nigeria through the collection of the Nigerian writer Wole Soyinka, Nobel Prize for Literature. The exhibition is open to the general public until March 31, 2018 from Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
