Bonn : Conference on climate change

Haiti participates in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Bonn. Towards the restoration of the mangrove Cahouane

The mangrove of Cahouane (Tiburon) is in a state of shock because of intensive wood cutting to meet the demand for coal in cities and the impact of hurricanes. Having supported the declaration of the marine protected area of Cahouane, UN Environment and its partners begin this year an integrated intervention on the Cahouane mixing the restoration of ecosystems and sustainable economic development of natural resources.
