The Mayor of Port-au-Prince Yuri Chevry made a surprise visit to La Saline on Tuesday to follow up the garbage collection operations in this part of the capital where garbage production is very important.

Under the watchful eyes of Mayor Chevry, the compressive trucks, bulldozers and other types of equipment of the Equipment Center of the Port-au-Prince Town Hall , have removed tens of cubic meters of solid waste of all types.

This operation, which mobilized several road workers, was an opportunity for local residents to salute the dynamism of the mayor who decided through the municipal decree of May 16 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24489-haiti-flash-ranking-of-the-shame-port-au-prince-the-dirtiest-city-in-the-world.html , to launch a ruthless struggle against garbage, bulky domestic waste, merchants, artisans and industrial waste, as well as the waste resulting from the cleaning of the streets, markets and public spaces of the commune.
