Haiti - Education : Multidisciplinary Digital Library

Campus digital, digital libraries, e-learning, Haiti enters int the digital age of the twenty-first century. The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) announces that it has acquired a digital library multidisciplinary and communitarian designed by Cyberlibris for all of these Francophone Digital Campus (which includes the digital campus project in Haiti).

This digital library will allow every student, teacher or researcher in any geographical location, to have a multidisciplinary catalog (Economics, Engineering Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences), rich of approximately 15,000 books, from the collections of nearly 300 publishing houses among the most prestigious in the world.

Users will be able to access features essential in an academic context (creating thematic shelves, annotation of books, sharing of notes and comments, create reading groups...) "With this library, the AUF is equipped with an essential tool, in its strategy to improve the access to the French-speaking university institutions" declared Bernard Cerquiglini, rector of the AUF.

About the AUF :

The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie brings together 774 universities on 5 continents in 91 countries including 55 members of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie. The association works for nearly 50 years in the field of higher education and research. Its mission is to train professionals able to contribute to the development of their countries, to support development strategies, to make emerge a new generation of teachers, researchers, experts and professionals, development actors, to promote French scientific community so it becomes an international reference and contributes to the global issues.
