In the town of Carrefour, its compliance was almost complete, as in Miragoâne and Petit Goâve. By cons, in Jacmel, the watchword was partially followed, in Cap Haitien and Saint-Marc the public transportation was working normally. Despite the mixed results of the strike, Retès Réjouis, President of the Federation of Haitian Public Carriers (FTPH) expressed his satisfaction about this day strike and congratulated the drivers who followed the watchword Monday. For his part, Paul Loulou Chéry, Secretary General of the Confederation of Haitian Workers (CTH) said Monday, in the local media that he had nothing against the principle of the strike but he described this decision of strike precipitated. He believes that the FTPH and other unions transit should have first negotiate with the government to bring it to revise downward the prices of petroleum products. Recalling that the strike action comes when the stage of negotiations has been exhausted. Statements that have provoked strong reactions from the President of the FTPH which accuses the Secretary General of the CTH to have seek by his statements, to destabilize the movement of Monday.
