Haiti - Politic : Jovenel Moïse celebrates May 1st on the dam site of the Marion River

For the past 15 months, Haitian and Cuban technicians have been working on three dikes, intake channels and diversions. Thanks to this huge project, a reservoir of 10 million cubic meters of water https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24264-haiti-politic-official-inauguration-of-dam-works-on-the-marion-river.html will allow irrigation of 10,000 hectares of land, produce electricity, allow fish farming and treatment of drinking water.
The delegation also visited the 53kw solar pumping system, which will allow farmers, particularly rice farmers, to obtain water for their land and then visit the site of the Ferrier seed center, one of the three that the Moïse administration will build (Northeast, Artibonite and South) to allow rice farmers to obtain high quality seeds to feed the Haitian population.
