In the presence of Valiolah Saint-Louis Gilmus the General Coordinator of the International Cooperation Unit, Edwing Charles the Minister of Youth Sports Studies accompanied by several senior staff of the Ministry set up this week the national unit of the Conference of Ministers of Youth and Sports of the Francophonie (CONFEJES) in accordance with the decision n°18 of the 35th ministerial session of the CONFEJES which recommended to the Member States and Governments, the establishment of National Units CONFEJES (CNC) for the harmonization of interventions.

During this establishment, the Minister Charles emphasized that the initiative of this cell will allow inter alia "the reinforcement of the structures of the ministry as well as the improvement of the conditions of the training of the high level sportsmen."

For the Minister, this unit will work more specifically on developing the physical, sports and socio-educational activities of young people in the community and could contribute to the creation of an environment conducive to mobilization, training and social integration, economic and professional development of young Haitians who will play a decisive role in the construction of the Francophone area.

The national unit of CONFEJES is made up of senior executives from the various technical departments of the Ministry called to supervise and support young people in the 3 sub-sectors : Youth, Sport and Civic Action
