Haiti - DIGICEL : Call for applications 3rd Edition of «Konbit Pou Chanjman»
The Digicel Foundation launched the 3rd edition of its "Konbit Pou Chanjman" campaign, a community development initiative that was launched on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Digicel Foundation in March 2017.

Following the success of past editions and the impact of ongoing projects and those already realized in different communities, the Foundation has deemed it imperative to continue with the campaign and intends to subsidize up to 800,000 gourdes each of the 15 non-profit organizations finalist of country that will have the opportunity to submit a maximum of two projects in the following categories : education, culture, inclusion, livelihoods, access and disaster prevention.

During the press conference, The Digicel Foundation took the opportunity to make a symbolic check-off to 3 of the 16 winning organizations of the second edition of "Konbit Pou Chanjman".

At the same time, Digicel Regional Managers organized press conferences in the 9 other departments to symbolically deliver checks to other winning organizations.

At the end of this event, the Foundation introduced HELP, Special Olympics Haiti and "Nos Petits Frères et Sœurs", three (3) of its many partners that it has funded for several years. HELP made a brief presentation of the guidance it gives to young people who have completed their classical studies by awarding them scholarships. Special Olympics and "Nos Petits Frères et Sœurs" did the same by outlining the work they do to support the integration of people with special needs.

Sophia Stransky, Executive Director of the Foundation said, "Haitian communities already know their weak points. We, at the foundation, want to give each of them the means to execute their projects "

"At Digicel, we encourage social involvement among our employees. That's how they all have at least one day off to volunteer. It is also in this context that we are launching "Kore Konbit Pou Chanjman" to allow two employees who support a non-profit organization to win a grant of 400,000 Gourdes each for the implementation of a community project" explained Sophia Stransky, Executive Director of the DIGICEL Foundation adding "We wish success to all the postulants of this new edition and look forward to meeting other organizations that are working hard for the progress of their communities.
