Haiti - Security : Attempt to kidnap 2 auditors of the CSC/CA 07/06/2019 09:37:08
A kidnapping operation that was defeated by the intervention of a police patrol, which was near the area of action. "[...] The auditors went to an audit mission of the National Airport Authority (AAN), when the Minibus that transported them was pursued by armed men. Near the roundabout at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport, in front of the 'National' gas station, one of the gunmen ordered the driver to stop and hand over the vehicle's keys, the driver refused. The armed individual shot in the air threatening the driver. Three police offciers who were in the area intervened, the armed men fled," explains the President of the CSC/CA Pierre Volmar Demesyeux condemns this kidnapping attempt and urges the police authorities to guarantee the safety of his officials across the country.
