Haiti - Politic : The calls for the resignation of the Head of State multiply
Following the final audit report (Volume II) of the Superior Court of Accounts and Administrative Litigation (CSC/CA) on the management of the Petrocaribe fund citing President Jovenel Moïse in what would be according to the Court "a ploy of diversion of funds" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-27879-haiti-petrocaribe-flash-csc-ca-implicates-jovenel-moise-in-a-case-of-embezzlement.html the reactions demanding the resignation of the Head of State multiply, while the responsibility of this one has not been legally proved and that it is quoted in this report only at the 3rd level of responsibility.

Reginald Boulos :
The respected Haitian businessman Reginald Boulos, President of the Société immobilière et financier SA, a former representative of the employers council sitting on the Superior Council of Wages and a committed citizen, who supported Jovenel Moïse' electoral campaign, acknowledges in a letter addressed to the Head of State, that it was a mistake and gives Moïse 90 days to resign

"[....] I urge you to initiate a process that will lead quickly to a political transition that will open with your resignation as President of the Republic. A transition during which the national dialogue can be initiated, a new Constitution adopted, major reforms initiated and the PetroCaribe trial finally started [...] waiting for your formal resignation in a period not exceeding 90 days, it is urgent, immediately to :

  • Report the Order Naming the Illegal and Illegitimate Government of Jean Michel Lapin;
  • Demiss the current illegal Provisional Electoral Council (CEP);
  • Facilitate the start of an independent dialogue between the country's political, social and economic sectors with a view to adopting a pact of governability and defining the road map of the transitional power;
  • To appoint a new Prime Minister on the recommendations of the parties involved in the dialogue [...]

Fanmi Lavalas:
For its part, Fanmi Lavalas, in a press note, demands the resignation of President Jovenel Moïse and his Government, as well as the dismissal of Parliament. The Executive Committee of Fanmi Lavalas, advocates for the establishment of a Constituent Assembly that will respect the principles of democracy and participation of all and reiterates its call for general and popular mobilization for a revolution that must open the door to change.

The Radical Opposition :
The two main organizations of the radical opposition, Force Oposition Progressiste and the so-called "Democratic and Popular" sector call for the resignation of Jovenel Moïse, whose name is cited in the latest report of the CSC/CA which presumes "a ploy of embezzlement "...

Human rights and civil society organizations :
In a note co-signed by several organizations, including the Haitian Solidarity for the Defense of Human Rights, the Collective of Organizations for the Defense of the Rights of Migrants and Returnees "Òganizasyon Timoun Fwontyè", the Group of University Students for Social Development in Rural Areas, the Rural Women's Association of Ganthier, the Border Network against the Torture of Vulnerable Children and the Citizens' Group for the Socio-Cultural Development of the Young, are appalled by the fact that "shame comes to cover the presidency", for his "alleged" involvement in a misappropriation of funds that would imply, according to the CSC/CA, the Agritrans company of which he was President before he took power.

The 4 Senators of the Opposition :
The four senators of the opposition 4 senators of the opposition Evalière Beauplan (PONT); Antonio Cheramy aka "Don Kato" (VERITE), Ricard Pierre (Piti Dessalin) and Nenel Cassy (Famni Lavalas) responsible for the ransacking of the Senate on Thursday, May 30 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-27857-haiti-flash-a-session-under-high-security.html Thursday, May 30 and the impediment of the holding of 2 sessions of ratification by making use of obstruction and violence to prevent it held the ratification session for the 3rd time Sunday, May 12 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-27715-haiti-politic-the-opposition-minority-forces-the-senate-to-postpone-the-ratification-meeting-of-the-pm.html and Tuesday, May 14 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-27730-haiti-flash-violence-in-the-senate-the-opposition-wins-a-2nd-victory-the-pm-ratification-postponed.html in a letter addressed to the President of the Senate, Carl Murat Cantave underlines the involvement of Jovenel Moïse quoted in the report of the CSC/CA affirming that the Head of State "no longer has the credibility" to continue exercise the function of Head of State.

"The Opposition Group of 4 Senators firmly believes that Jovenel Moïse does not have the credibility and morality to continue leading the Nation. On this basis, the group wants to inform you, Mr President [...] that from now on it does not recognize the authority of Jovenel Moïse at the head of the country [...] the administrative acts and orders signed now by the accused Jovenel Moïse should not have effects for the country. In this sense, all the actors of the national scene must come together to replace in a short time Jovenel Moïse at the head of the State [...]" estimating that he "must resign from his duties and start to put himself to the disposition of justice."
