Haiti - FLASH : CSC/CA judges death threatened would have left the country

Thursday, in a meeting with members of "Together Against Corruption" (Ensemble contre la corruption - ECC) Pierre Volmar Desmesyeux, the President of the CSC accompanied by two Councilors : Marie Nelta Fethière and Rogavil Boiguéné revealed that the judges of the Court were victims of intimidation and death threats from unknown even before the submission of his final audit report (Volume 2) on the use of PetroCaribe funds https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-27879-haiti-petrocaribe-flash-csc-ca-implicates-jovenel-moise-in-a-case-of-embezzlement.html , while confirming anyway, to be determined to make finish their investigation.

Recall that last June 3, 3 days after the submission of the final audit report (Volume II) to the Senate, two CSC/CA auditors were the victims of an attempted abduction https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-27924-haiti-security-attempt-to-kidnap-2-auditors-of-the-csc-ca.html

These threats of all kinds on a daily basis, day and night,

to judges of the Superior Court of Auditors would have forced many of them to leave Haiti to protect their lives and those of their family.

For Edouard Paultre, Executive Director of the Haitian Council of Non-State Actors (CONHANE) and member of "Together Against Corruption", these acts are aimed at rendering the CSC/CA dysfunctional in order to block the continuation of its investigation. Deploring with other ECC members, that the Senate has still not submitted the final audit report to the judicial authorities for the follow-up actions.
