Haiti - Education : Results of the First day of the examinations of end of secondary studies 09/07/2019 09:28:52
All the reports from the Departmental Directorates of Education confirm the smooth running of the official exams. Everything took place in calm and serenity, informing the delegates on the ground and the departmental directors who speak of a great success. 142,912 candidates were expected at these events, not to mention nearly 6,000 added candidates who received special consideration from the Ministry, which took into account the problems in the history of the second and rhetoric notes of those concerned. Monday morning the candidates for the traditional single baccalaureate (64,593 candidates) and the session of the "recalés" (those that failed) (23,735 candidates) composed in Philosophy and the afternoon in Biology. The New Secondary candidates (54,584 candidates) composed in the morning in philosophy and in the afternoon in Life and Earth Sciences for the series Economic and Social Sciences and the Mathematics and Physics series. The only incident to report to Port-au-Prince but quickly controlled by the ministry, about 300 candidates claiming cards and permission to underdo exams in the perimeter of the high school Tousaint Louverture and the high school Cent-fiftieth anniversary. Once again, pending a check of each case, the candidates were allowed to take the tests. A measure of leniency so as not to penalize candidates if they respond after verification to the validation criteria. The Ministry was pleased to note the great solidarity of parents, actors and all sectors with the bachelor graduates in order to allow them to pass their tests in good conditions and greet a clear answer of the population to its call of supervision of our student candidates. The Ministry is inviting all educators and partners to maintain the same mobilization until the completion of the examinations process, which will continue until Friday, July 12th.
