Haiti - FLASH : Vandalism and violence in the Senate, justice will prevail

In a press note issued Friday, September 13, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, condemns "the act of desecration and serious abuses" that took place in the Senate on Wednesday, September 11 "by of individuals" including some armed "with the complicity of a group of Senators" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28727-haiti-flash-the-senate-stormed-and-ransacked-by-armed-militants-of-the-opposition.html and informs that "The Public prosecutor's office at the Court of First Instance of Port-au-Prince is seized and the public action is put in movement against the authors and co-perpetrators of these acts shameful and reprehensible."

The Ministry points out that "[...] chaos supporters, for hours, offered a table where alternated invectives, threats, acts of vandalism, attempted fire, desecration of the spaces housing the Grand Corps [...] a genuinely degrading spectacle for our Republic and our people in the face of the whole world [...] capable of galling the fruits of years of struggle, of efforts and sacrifices made to establish democracy for which the powers of the State and all citizens must work towards consolidation."

The Ministry informs that a Justice of the Peace has been dispatched on the spot to verbalize the facts and affirms in conclusion "all the provisions will be implemented to allow the Justice to rise and react proportionally to this outrage which obscures our image."
