UEH students for the departure of Moïse

Sunday, in a joint note of representatives of students from 8 faculties, members of the Council of the State University of Haiti (UEH), in the perspective of ending the crisis, took a stand in a joint statement, calling for the unconditional departure of President Jovenel Moïse and the dismissal of Parliament, while proposing the establishment of a three-year transition.

No international budget support for Haiti

In the absence of a fully operational Government and without a ratified budget, several bilateral and multilateral donors, including the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), continue to refuse their budget support to Haiti.

New manager at the head of CIMO

On Monday, Mario Aubergiste, Central Director of the administrative police, proceeded to the installation of Joël Gentillon as new head of the Intervention and Maintenance Corps (CIMO). He replaces Vladymir Cherubin.

Nicolas Duvalier against the departure of Moïse

Nicolas Duvalier said in the United States be against the departure of President Jovenel Moïse. He wondered what the opposition meant by "orderly departure" as a peaceful solution to the crisis, recalling that when Jean-Claude Duvalier left the country in 1986, "[...] he planned his departure with the CNGR and the there were the Haitian Armed Forces, the Gendarmerie and the Police. Fire attempt of a UNIBANK

Sunday at Cap Haïtien, at the end of the day, unidentified individuals from a group of anti-government protesters attempted to burn down a Unibank branch at the corner of 3 and L. firefighters prevented the fire from spreading. Apart from the facade blackened by the flames damage to the bank are minor.

Entrepreneurship Certification

On Saturday, participants in the Entrepreneurship Training organized by the Ministry of Youth in conjunction with experts from the Caribbean Common Market (CARICOM) received their certificate and a grant to start their business at the closing ceremony. The Ministry relies on these young entrepreneurs to positively influence their peers.
