Haiti - Politic : 4 days before the inauguration of Michel Martelly
Four days before the inauguration of President-elect Michel Martelly, many foreign dignitaries including Heads of State and of Governments have expressed their intention to be present at the various inaugural events planned for this Saturday, May 14. According to Fritz Jean-Louis, a member of the transition office responsible for the transmission of power between the outgoing President and his successor, a dozen of foreign heads of state should attend the inauguration of Martelly. The French Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Alain Juppé is expected in Port-au-Prince on Friday. He should lead the French delegation, Saturday at the inauguration of the new President of Haiti.

On the courtyard of the palace destroyed by the earthquake of January 2010, there are now 5 and not 3 forums, which are under construction to accommodate 2.000 guests in lieu of 1.200 initially planned, to attend the "Te Deum" of circumstances and the address to the Nation by the President Martelly. The National Police is working to set up a highly secure area in the area of the Palace and Parliament.

A festival atmosphere prevails in the Haitian capital. The effigy of President Martelly and the colors of his campaign, pink and white, gradually invade the city. Michel Martelly portraits are painted on the walls of some neighborhoods in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince, accompanied by messages in favor of the new President. Youth groups are working day and night to clean and beautify their neighborhoods before the inauguration day. Imposing billboard with the image of the new President proclaims the victory of the people.
