One know more about the weapons and ammunition transported by the Former US Navy of Haitian origin Jacques Yves Sebastien Duroseau (33 years) arrested Tuesday afternoon at Toussaint Louverture International Airport https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-29249-haiti-flash-a-former-us-navy-arrested-at-the-international-airport-in-possession-of-weapons-of-war.html

After inspection of the baggage and identification of all the elements contained, the General Administration of Customs (AGD), informs us that the arrested passenger did not hold any authorization from the National Police of Haiti for the import of these weapons on the national territory in violation of the decree of 12 January 1988 (article 6) and that the weapons of war found in the luggage of the suspect, are prohibited in Haiti and were seized as contraband in accordance with Article 228 of the Customs Code of 1987.

In the suitcases of Duroseau, besides his personal clothes the customs officers found :

• Several military uniforms

• A military helmet

• A pair of handcuffs

• 2 bulletproof vests

• 1 communication radio and gun cases

• Brand: Beretta, model: 65490 (size: 9mm)

• Brand: Sig Sauer model: SP2022 (caliber: .40)

• Brand: Sig Sauer model: P229 (size: 9mm)

• Brand: Sig Sauer Model: P320 (Size: 9mm)

• Brand: Rock Island Model M1911A1-CS (.45 caliber)

Assault rifles (X3) :

• Brand: Fortis; Model: ST15 (Size: 5.56 mm)

• Brand: Saint; Model: Spring Field Armory (Size: 5.56 mm and 5.62 mm)

• Brand: Ruger precision; Model: 300WIN MAG (Size: 30)

  Ammo :

  • Caliber 30: 40 cartridge units

  • Caliber 45: 58 cartridge units

  • Caliber 40: 35 cartridge units

  • Caliber 357: 56 cartridge units

  • 9mm caliber: 44 cartridge unit

  • Caliber 5.56: 116 cartridge units

  Empty Chargers :

  • 7 Chargers 9mm;

  • 2 Chargers 556 mm.

  However, on the police side there is nothing filtering so far about the interrogation of Duroseau. Neither the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) or the suspect is questioned, nor the Ministry of Justice or the Interior issued a statement on this case which is reminiscent of that of the mysterious armed commandos, arrested in Port-au-Prince in February 2019 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26963-haiti-flash-a-mysterious-commando-of-heavily-armed-foreigners-arrested-in-port-au-prince.html

  So we still do not know why Duroseau carried these weapons, to whom they were intended and for what use...
