Haiti - Police : Michel Martelly visit the police academy 13/05/2011 12:56:14
At least twenty-four hours of his swearing in, the President-elect Joseph Michel Martelly decided to go to the Directorate of Schools and Continuing Education of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) as part of his efforts aiming the strengthening of the police institution called to guarantee the security of the population.
The President-elect wanted to personally inquire of the progress of construction of three buildings to house 70 police instructors. This project is funded through a support of 1.2 million dollars from the U.S. government. Other facilities for the police are under construction as to Martissant and Cite Soleil.
Safety is one of the first priorities of President-elect who swear only by concrete and immediate results regarding the promises made during his campaign.
