Haiti - News : Zapping...
Jobert C. Angrand the Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture announced that the National Bank for Agricultural Development (BNDA) will open on May 1, 2020. 5 directors and 95 credit officers will be hired to serve the 95 Communal Agricultural Offices (BAC) distributed throughout the national territory. The starting fund from the Public Treasury is 500 million gourdes, but Angrand stresses that other additional funds could be used to operate the BNDA given the large financing needs of the agricultural sector.
Jérémie Airport : Rehabilitation of the runway
The Ministry of Public Works is hard at work rehabilitating the runway at Jérémie airport. All measures are taken for the start of this work which, according to Egile Pierre, the site manager at the National Equipment Center (CNE), relates to the reshaping and surfacing of the runway.
J-C Moïse warns that 2020 will be worse than 2019

Football : Marc Collat contradicts the FHF

Threat to stop the Carrefour Joffre / Anse-à-Foleur site
The technicians of the reconstruction site of the Carrefour Joffre / Anse-à-Foleur section, hired as part of the Caravan of Change, threaten to stop the work if within a week they do not receive their 14 months' salary arrears, several times promised by the State but never paid.
Earthquake : Commemoration January 12, 2010
Friday, Jean Baden Dubois the Governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) accompanied by members of the Board of Directors laid a wreath at the Memorial to Victory on the BRH site in tribute to the employees who died during of the earthquake of January 12, 2010.
To mark the 10th anniversary of the 2010 earthquake, Carrefour town hall announces the organization of a series of commemorative activities. As a prelude to the date, January 10 and 11, two days of conference-debates are held. The Director General of the Bureau of Mines and Energy, engineer-geologist Claude Prépetit, will be the main speaker. A march will be carried out in the streets of the town on January 12, 2020.
