A mysterious armed group "Fantôme 509"
On Monday, a mysterious group of armed individuals wearing hoods and police clothing accompanied by an armed civilian who described themselves as the "Fantôme 509" group sowed panic outside the private residence of the new Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe. These individuals in search of the Prime Minister fired shots in the air, erected a barricade of flaming tires in front of Jouthe’s residence and vandalized official vehicles, smashing windshields and puncturing tires.

The General Directorate of PNH moves to Tabarre
The offices of the General Directorate of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) are being moved and leave Pétion-ville to relocate in the former UN Headquarters, near the DCPJ in the commune of Tabarre, a confirmed Commissioner Michel-Ange Louis Jeune, Spokesperson for the PNH.

Gonaïves : 7 robbers arrested
7 individuals, including a woman, were arrested by Gonaïves police during an operation in Trou-Couleuvre. These individuals, who specialized in armed robbery of bank branches and transfer houses and in counterfeit money, were intercepted with large caliber weapons and ammunition, confirmed Dieudonne François, Spokesperson for the artibonite police.

PoliFront : Intelligence training
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) organized intelligence training at the National Police Academy. A total of 80 PNH officers benefited from this training, led by Cy Winter, IOM Regional Specialist on border management in the Americas. This action, funded by the Embassy of the United States and World Affairs Canada, is part of the project "Support and strengthen the Haitian Land Border Police (PoliFront)".

Minister's Tour of the American Ambassador
American Ambassador Michèle Sison met with Michel Patrick Boisvert the new Minister of Economy and Finance around the economic ties between the United States and Haiti, the path to sustainable and inclusive economic growth in Haiti, a policy sound budget and the need to fight corruption. They also discussed the need for greater transparency and efficiency in the mobilization of domestic resources for the benefit of Haitian citizens.

Tuesday Michèle Sison was received by Lucmane Délile the new Minister of Justice and Public Security. It was a question for Délile of explaining the priorities of the Ministry and for the Sison Diplomat to reiterate the will of the American Government to work for the strengthening of cooperation with Haiti, among others in the field of justice and security.

Covid-19 Epidemic : Global Report March 11, 2020
As of Wednesday March 11, 2020, the number of people who have been infected with Covid-19 worldwide since the start of the epidemic stands at 119,279 (laboratory-confirmed cases, official source), up 4,735 compared to the day before, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30233-haiti-news-zapping.html (including 202 cases in China). 65,788 people have been cured of Covid-19 (55.15%) since the start of the epidemic, 1,757 more than the day before. Today, the number of infected people receiving care (active cases) worldwide is 49,204 (+6.02%). Since the start of the epidemic 4,287 people have died from Covid-19 (+ 6.48%) or 261 more than the day before (4.026) for an average fatality rate of 3.59% (+0.8%) compared to the previous day (3.51%).

To date, there are 38,321 confirmed cases outside China (+ 13.42%) or 4,533 cases more than the previous day, in a total of 114 countries (+6 countries compared to the previous day). Note that 6 countries (Italy, South Korea, Iran, France, Spain and Germany) alone account for 30,266 cases (78.9% of all cases outside China).

1,119 deaths outside China have been reported since the start of the epidemic, 165 more than the day before: 631 in Italy, 291 in Iran, 54 in South Korea, 35 in Spain, 33 in France, 9 in Japan, 7 in Iraq, 6 in the United Kingdom, 4 in the Netherlands, 4 in Australia, 3 in Hong Kong, 3 in Switzerland, 1 in Taiwan, 1 in the Philippine, 2 in Saint Martin, 2 in Germany, 1 in Canada, 1 in Thailand, 1 in Argentina, 1 in Egypt, 1 in Morocco, 1 in Panama, 1 in Lebanon and 32 in the USA (1,037 confirmed cases + 37.35% compared to the previous day). Note that Italy, Iran and South Korea account for 87.22% of all deaths outside of China.
