GLOBAL SITUATION :
Thursday, April 2, 2020, the number of people infected worldwide with the Covid-19 coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, amounted to 939,436 confirmed cases (+ 8.95%) compared to the previous day or 77,202 more compared to the previous day (Official source): https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30420-haiti-covid-19-daily-bulletin-april-1-2020.html

Since the start of the pandemic 195,929 people have been cured of Covid-19 worldwide (+ 9.56%), 17,093 more than yesterday.

The number of people infected worldwide is currently 701,220 (+ 9.4%), 60,226 more than yesterday.

Since the start of the pandemic 47,287 people have died from Covid-19 worldwide (+ 11.52%), which is 4.883 more than yesterday.

Since the start of the pandemic, 43,965 deaths (+ 12.48%) have been recorded outside China, or 4,877 more deaths than yesterday.

Miami Dade (FL): 2,195 active cases (+ 3.73%), 79 more than yesterday and 7 deaths (unchanged).

On Wednesday, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that New York State now had 84,046 confirmed cases (+ 10.89%) compared to the previous day, which is 8,251 more than the previous day and 2,220 deaths (+ 43.26%), or 670 more 24 hours.

QUEBEC :

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC :
Epidemiological situation :
Wednesday in his daily report, the Minister of Public Health, Rafael Sánchez Cárdenas, reported that the number of confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic amounted to 1,218 cases (+ 9.8%) or 109 more in 24 hours. 57 people have died since March 1 (+ 11.76%) or 6 more since the day before.

1,071 confirmed cases suffering from mild symptoms are in home isolation (+ 17.5%), that is 145 more people in 24 hours and 147 people are in hospital isolation (+ 15.7%), or 20 more in 24 hours.

The provinces with the highest number of confirmed people are: National District (40%), Saint-Domingo (13%), Santiago (11%) and Duarte (8%).

FRANCE :
Epidemiological situation :
Wednesday April 1, 2020, Jérome Salomon, the Director General of the Ministry of Health announced that 24,639 people are currently hospitalized or 1,839 cases more (+ 8.0%) in 24 hours including 6,017 in intensive care (+ 8.14%) or 453 more than the day before. Since the start of the epidemic 4,032 people have died (+ 15.58%) or 472 more than yesterday (the deaths recorded by the Government are only those in a hospital setting excluding deaths at home, nursing homes, etc.) 10,935 people have been cured (+ 14.8%) or 1,413 more in 24 hours. Jérôme Salomon said that more than 20,000 tests were carried out every day.

Curfew in Guadeloupe and Martinique :
Since Wednesday, Martinique and Guadeloupe are subject to a curfew from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. announced the prefects of the two departments. All travel is prohibited during the curfew with the exception of home-work trips that cannot be postponed and those motivated by a medical emergency.

SYMPTOMS :
Common symptoms of Covid-19 coronavirus: cough, fever and extreme fatigue. Some people may also have more severe symptoms, such as difficulty breathing or pneumonia. On average, symptoms of COVID-19 usually develop 5 to 7 days after infection. In some infrequent cases, they may appear only on the 12th day.

Tips :
Basic advice protect yourself and avoid the spread of Covid-19 as much as possible, in case of introduction in Haiti :

Always cough or sneeze into your sleeves or elbow, never on the other person's face or in your hands;
Use tissues to wipe your hands or face and then throw them in the trash and then wash your hands;
Wash your hands frequently with soap or alcoholic water. You can also use a "sanitizer";
Avoid close contact with someone with flu-like illness and invite them to seek treatment;
Avoid contact with vulnerable people if you are sick;
Avoid greetings like handshakes and kisses;
Avoid touching your nose, eyes and mouth;
Avoid large gatherings as much as possible;
