The distribution of food kits which already started https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-30393-icihaiti-social-distributions-of-thousands-of-food-kits.html and is carried out door to door for avoid people to travel and have to wait in long queues. Charles Ernets Chatelier, Director General of the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) explained that each beneficiary will receive a food kit containing 10 kilos of rice (about 4 marmites) two packets of spaghetti, 2 boxes of salmon and 2 bags of bread. He said that the distribution will be daily in 20 zones, at the rate of 250 kits per zone. But avoided answering questions about the cost and funding of this social program.

Regarding money transfers, the Head of State said "We have been able to identify 500,000 families in rural areas and one million in urban areas", specifying that these transfers will be done through a mechanism that will prevent people from profiting illegally from this aid or to a family to receive money twice in a row, without further details on this mechanism, nor on the overall cost of this financial aid nor on the source of the funds necessary for this important operation.
