Since the start of the pandemic 598,942 people have been cured of Covid-19 worldwide (+ 4.74%), 27,091 more than yesterday (20,864).

Since the start of the pandemic 161,030 people have died from Covid-19 worldwide (+ 4.33%), which is 6,680 more than yesterday (8,645).

On Saturday, the City of Montreal announced the extension of the state of emergency in effect on its territory until April 22.

Latest scientific information :
Based on the latest information from the scientific community: between 80% and 85% of those who contract Covid-19 have no symptoms, or some very mild and often confused with other viral infections. Between 15% and 17% of infected people would need medical assistance, whether it is a drug treatment or a short assistance linked to respiratory problems and between 3% and 5% would need a hospitalization to face the symptoms caused by coviud-19 in combination with other comorbidity factors.

SYMPTOMS :
Common symptoms of Covid-19 coronavirus: cough, fever and extreme fatigue. Some people may also have more severe symptoms, such as difficulty breathing or pneumonia. On average, symptoms of COVID-19 usually develop 5 to 7 days after infection. In some infrequent cases, they may appear only on the 12th day.

Tips :
Basic advice protect yourself and avoid the spread of Covid-19 as much as possible, in case of introduction in Haiti :

  • Always cough or sneeze into your sleeves or elbow, never on the other person's face or in your hands;
  • Use tissues to wipe your hands or face and then throw them in the trash and then wash your hands;
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap or alcoholic water. You can also use a "sanitizer";
  • Avoid close contact with someone with flu-like illness and invite them to seek treatment;
  • Avoid contact with vulnerable people if you are sick;
  • Avoid greetings like handshakes and kisses;
  • Avoid touching your nose, eyes and mouth;
  • Avoid large gatherings as much as possible;
