Quebec MP of Haitian origin Dominique Anglade takes the reins of the Liberal Party of Quebec PLQ. She will represent the PLQ in the 2022 elections and in the event of victory Dominique Anglade would become the first Prime Minister from the minority in Quebec.
Thanks to Turkey
Chancellor Claude Joseph met on Monday with his Turkish counterpart, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, to thank the Government and people of Turkey, on behalf of President Jovenel Moïse, for responding to his request and planning to send this week a batch of medical equipment in Haiti to support the fight against Covid-19.
30 tonnes of rice for 21 orphanages
In response to the food crisis linked to the Covid-19 epidemic, French Cooperation in Haiti supported the Institute of Social Welfare and Research (IBESR) by distributing 30 tonnes of local rice to 21 orphanages in Artibonite, Central and West, 3 months of consumption for 1,215 children.
"Dadou" file complaint in Haiti
Monday Yves Jean Bart, President of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), accused of rape of young footballers filed a complaint against "X", at the Court of First Instance of the Croix-des-bouquets for defamation, insults and bribery of witnesses.

Monday, May 11, as part of the cleaning program of public markets launched by the Town Hall at the end of March 2020, the municipal authorities of Cap-Haitien, in concert with the justice system and the police, began a major clean-up at the level from the Shada market. Aware of the threats to health posed by the filth of public procurement, the authorities have endeavored to remedy this situation by mobilizing the municipal road network with the participation of partners from civil society.
Opening of a criminal proceedings session
Monday the Court of First Instance of Croix-des-Bouquets opened a session of criminal proceedings without jury assistance, in order to judge various cases pending for several months. The Dean of the Tribunal, Grécia Norcéus, places this initiative as part of a strategy to improve prolonged pretrial detention in the jurisdiction.
