Haiti - Justice : A police officer incarcerated in the Penitentiary, the Phantom Group issues an ultimatum 15/05/2020 10:23:20
Wednesday, May 13, Jack Lafontant the Government Commissioner to the Port-au-Prince Court of First Instance ordered the imprisonment of police officer Jean Pascal Alexandre at the National Penitentiary.
Remember that Jean Pascal Alexandre, a member of the Drug Trafficking Brigade, was arrested on May 8 on instruction from the Public Prosecutor's Office, accused of assassination, arson, destruction of public property and State security.
Thursday, following this imprisonment, members of the extremist group "Phatom 509" issued an ultimatum to the authorities in order to release their colleague whose arrest they consider to be illegal...
In addition Yanick Joseph, the former General Coordinator of the Haitian National Police Union in a recorded message announces the decision to suspend all ongoing discussions with the authorities until the release of police officer Alexandre.
