Haiti - Security : Seismic bulletin of June 12/07/2020 09:35:04
In its monthly bulletin for June 2020, the Technical Unit of Seismology (UTS) of the Bureau of Mines and Energy (BME) reveals that the national and regional seismological networks recorded in Haiti 39 no deep earthquakes (between 2 and 50 km deep) with magnitudes between 1.3 and 3.6 on the Richter scale.

The two departments most affected by the earthquakes in June are the North West (13 earthquakes) and the West (13 earthquakes) representing 66% of all cases reported at the national level. The 13 other earthquakes are distributed as follows: North (5), South-east (4), Artibonite (2), Nippes (1) and Grand’Anse (1)
For the first half of 2020 (January to June) 262 earthquakes (minor to light) were recorded: North-west (92), South-east (65), West (47), North (18), Artibonite (13), Nippes (10), South (9), Center (4), Grand'Anse (2), Northeast (2).
