Monday, August 10 in the morning, almost 5 months after the declaration of the state of health emergency (March 19, 2020 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30311-haiti-flash-president-moise-declares-a-state-of-health-emergency-text-of-the-order.html ) many schools in the metropolitan area had reopened their doors for the resumption of classes for students of the New Secondary 4 and those of the 9th grade fundamental. Few students in uniform were visible in the streets, and the classrooms were lightly occupied with some exceptions.

PNH : Week of training on investigation procedures
Monday, in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP, - Haiti) and the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), the Haitian National Police (PNH) began a week of training on procedures investigation and human rights for the staff of the General Inspectorate of the PNH in Cap-Haitien whose installation is supported by the Embassy of Canada in Haiti and the US Dept of State and the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
