Refusing the politicization of the murder of Toussaint Guiteau, Senator Lambert precise "It is necessary not to distract the public on the real investigation that should be conducted concerning the murder." In his opinion, Me Mayard Paul has made a big mistake by mentioning this hypothesis "We must go further in the investigation and take into account the existence of wealthy people in this country, owners of banks and other persons who, at one level or another, do business with the BNC", evoking the possible involvement of a mafia, national and international that could be responsible for this murder.
