Started earlier this year, the filming of "Croix des Bouquets," directed by filmmaker and actress of Haitian descent, Marie-Ange Barbancourt, will feature : Bruny Surin, Jacquy Bidjeck, Céline France, Ralph Leroy and many other talents. Despite the delay in the shooting of her film, Marie-Ange Barbancourt hopeful to finish it in February 2012 to register "Croix des Bouquets," to the evaluation of feature films for the Cannes Film Festival.

The film "Croix des Bouquets," tells the story of Mia La Groue (Marie-Ange Barbancourt), whose the assassination of her mother, has forced her to return to Haiti to avoid being robbed of her inheritance by unscrupulous individuals whose one of her sisters has associated. The result is a metaphor of the entire society, built on lies and prisoner of an independence failed... At the time of the announcement of the film, Marie-Ange had recognized similarities between the film and her own life, but she especially wanted to give a shock to her home country. "It is time that we put a glance just (regard juste) of the Haitian society and forget the politically correct" she had affirmed.

Currently, the team has almost completed the shooting the most difficult scenes inside. Scenes of kidnapping and torture were shot in the unused premises of the hospital Louis-H. Initially, these scenes had to be carried out in Cuba, ultimately, it is in the Dominican Republic that the filming will be held "Landscapes are very similar," said the director.
