With the help of its sponsors Nike and Laureus Sport for Good, Osaka wants to ensure that everyone interested in the sport has the opportunity to pick up a racquet and master their skills. Naomi Osaka also recognizes how important it was for her to have access to these types of facilities and how much it helped her achieve her dreams of dominating the sport of tennis. Now she wants this generation to do the same a little easier. The academy in Haiti will not be limited to tennis. Naomi's vision is to ensure that female coaches are hired and to provide girls with education to help them build their confidence, self-esteem and leadership skills. Learn more about Naomi Osaka : Born in Japan on October 16, 1997 in Chūō-ku (Osaka), from a Haitian father and a Japanese mother, her family immigrated to the United States when she was 3 years old. His father, Léonard Francois, from Jacmel introduced him to tennis and registred her at the Japanese Tennis Association (Naomie trains in Florida). She became a professional player in September 2013.
