Haiti - FLASH : Thousands of Haitians risk deportation to Chile

Chile has put in place a migration regularization plan that allows all people, regardless of nationality, who entered Chile before March 18, 2020 and who are in an irregular migratory situation at the time of their registration, to apply to be regularized.

The request is made online on the site https://tramites.extranjeria.gob.cl by clicking on "Migration Regularization 2021".

The plan enrollment period is 180 days, starting April 20, 2021. If the application is approved, the applicant will receive a temporary visa. The cost of the visa for those over 18 is 90 US dollars (or the equivalent in Chilean pesos) and is FREE for minors.
